Not too long ago, I did a post with comforting scriptures, but I feel the need to do this once again. Regardless of your political affiliation, regardless of your race, or ethnicity, regardless of whether you live in the city, the suburbs or in rural areas, regardless of whether you are rich, poor, or in-between, tall or short, I think just about everyone agrees that the world is going through some trying times. One thing to remember though. God. Is. Still. In. Control. He knows everything that we are going through, and he wants us to trust him. He will bring us through whatever it is we are dealing with. Remember, the battle was won when Jesus died on the cross, and rose from the grave. Because of this, believers are assured of eternal life with God. We just have to get through this hard part, like stress, sorrow, worry, and all of that. God’s Word gives us encouragement and promises to get through these difficult times. Here we go!

The Word of God provides us with direction we need to get through this life, and to walk more closely with him. Everything we need is in His Word. We just need to put our faith and trust in him. Whatever is going on in the world, and whatever is going on in our lives, our faith, hope and trust is in the one who loved us so much that he sent his son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
